One of the many things I love about my job is being involved in a community. We have been part of generations of families lives - we have looked after people's grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins.
We have seen babies come into our stores as newborns, advised on cuts and grazes as they have learnt to walk. We heard about their first day at school, and then treated chickenpox, head lice and common colds that followed. We have seen photos of those children as they have gone through each of their important life milestones and now for some, we are helping them look after their newborn children.
I appreciate the ability to make a change in each of these lives, sometimes it is small, perhaps a recommendation to ease a minor ailment to help them get through that day through to lifestyle changes that may alter the rest of their lives and working collaboratively with other health professionals to try and give the best outcome for each and every one of our patients.
I enjoy the challenges that everyday brings. Just like no two patients are the same, no two days are the same. We live in a world where science, medicine, technology and people are changing at a rapid pace and I have the opportunity to learn something new every single day.
We could not do any of this without our amazing team, who have an incredibly diverse set of skills and levels of experience. I’m very proud to have each and every one of these individuals as part of our family to work together to look after your family.
